This article looks into the causes of stress and gives free tips to help you control and reduce your worries. I have, as I am sure many people do, stressed for most of my life for many different reasons. Even though I still worry about many things, I have now learned how to handle many of these situations and will write about how I go about doing this, in this article.

I do not work within the stress management industry and am in fact a personal injury claims expert from the UK. I also work on other projects to do with selling external doors and working with a business cost reduction specialist who offers amongst other things Vodafone Voucher Codes.

I am the kind of person who likes to have a simple and settled life. When something comes along which is quite a big event or a bit out of the ordinary, this is when I start to stress. I am not the kind of person who likes change, therefore things like moving house is something which will cause me a lot of stress. I have actually moved house four times in the last six years, not very clever for someone like me. I am now happy where I live and plan to stay at this abode for a long time.

I am also self-employed. There are many things I love about being self-employed, the fact that I am my own boss, I can choose my own hours, I have no-one to answer or to report to and the all round freedom it gives me. I often stress however that business will go through a bad period and that I do not have the security of a regular income. How will I pay the mortgage? How will I pay my car loan? How will I feed and clothe my children? These are all the things that at times can keep me awake at night.

I now have started to build up a back-up fund in a bank account. At the times when business is booming I am very disciplined at saving a fairly large perentage of the profits. These profits can then be used to help during the not so prosperous periods. This gives me a peace of mind and therefore I do not have to worry so much. Business will go through good and bad periods and this way I can easily cope when it does go slow.

I used to also worry about how I would pay my tax bill at the end of the year, however I have also started to put money away each month similar to the above example, to pay for it.

I now try and think about all of my worries in a logical manner and instead of losing sleep over them I try to find solutions.

I also feel stressed and I am not sure why it is, the day after I have a night out drinking alcohol. In the morning and nowadays since I am getting older, throughout the day, I often feel lethargic and my mind starts to play tricks on me. It makes me feel negative about the future and makes me worry about a whole host of issues. It now takes me around forty-eight hours to recover from a boozy night out and affects my family and work life. I have now decided that I will go out far less and that when I do, I will limit the amount I drink.

These are other things that can cause me to stress:

When I have basically been working too hard!

When I have had a lack of sleep

During and after an illness

After an argument with my girlfriend

When I am invited to a social occasion which I do not want to go to, such as a wedding

A visit from my girlfriends family for say a weekend

Going on holiday

Some of the above may seem a bit bizarre to some people who read this article, however I am trying to be truthful. Yes going on holiday does cause me to worry. To start with I am rather scared of flying. Yes I am fully aware that it is the safest form of travel but this does not help to ease or control my nerves. I have flown on many occasions but the fear and anxiety of flying on an aeroplane is not going away or even improving.

One thing which I am now careful to ensure of, is that I get enough sleep. I must say I love going to bed and I love sleeping. My bed is where I feel safe and comfortable. I used to fall into a trap of working too hard and would then stay up late, possibly watching the television. I would set my alarm to wake me up early and I would then start the whole process over again.

From reading a book about stress management, I discovered that sleep was one of the best forms of stress-relief. I decided to give it a go and I must say it works. I now stay in bed an hour later in the mornings and where possible, I am in bed by 10pm at night.

I am also now attempting to take life in my stride. What happens will happen and I will deal with each challenge on its own merit. I try to deal with potential problems in a positive way and realise that if life was very smooth and easy, that it would probably be quite boring.

I am now far more appreciative of the life that I have; I am more than aware of the fact that I am one of the lucky ones. I will be successful and I will make the most of the opportunities that life brings; it is all about having a positive outlook on life. I know that at times life will be hard and am determined to get through these periods as quick as I can.

Nowadays when I do feel down and miserable, I tend to spend as much time as possible with my children, as they make me happy and can soon put a smile back onto my face.

Stress is outlined as the non-specific response of the body to any demands made upon it. Everyday, in each walk of life, we come across stress. As much as folks want for a stress free life, such a task would be not possible to achieve. Stress could be a part and parcel of our lives. Sadly, stress does not solely produce discomfort, if ignored, it can lead to serious chronic illnesses. Thus what really happens when a person experiences chronic stress?

Our body goes through varies changes in its try to address stress. Let us examine the bodily processes. After we experiences stress in some half of the body, that half of the body sends a message to the brain via the nerves. Then it passes through the reticular activating system either from or to the limbic system or the thalamus. The limbic system is like the store house of our emotions, to that the thalamus acts like a trigger or a switch, determining what to do with the incoming signals sent by the body. Therefore, activating the hypothalamus, this in turn will activate the endocrine system and therefore the autonomic nervous system.

Another means in that the brains will response to a stressor is by activating a part of the brain referred to as hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system (HPA system). The HPA can activate the assembly and unharness of glucocorticolds i.e. steroid hormones, as well as the first stress hormone crotisol. This hormone is very vital in marshaling systems through out the body to deal quickly with the stress. When the body works to deal with stress, it produces some byproducts. If these byproducts of stress don’t seem to be restrained during a productive means, they result in all out physiological reactions or illness and diseases.

Lets us contemplate some illnesses and diseases. There are various diseases to which the mind makes the body susceptible. These diseases are called psychosomatic diseases (psyche suggests that mind; soma suggests that body). Allow us to make this idea clear by an example; Jenny is a forty five year old woman. Her husband passed on to the great beyond, leaving her depressed. Jenny’s husband was a sort person and jenny felt it was not honest, and found it hard to cope with her husband’s untimely death. A way of helplessness came over her. Loneliness were her only companion now, there were folks who where not surprised at jenny’s death just one year once her husband passed away. They officially termed it as death thanks to heart attack, however to jenny’s friends, it was known that jenny died of a “broken heart”.

You may recognize some people like jenny yourself, individuals who died or fell chronically sick from sever stress with practically very little physically wrong with them. How several times we have a tendency to tell individuals “it’s all in your head”. In jenny’s case, it wasn’t all in her head. Sometimes after we expertise too much emotional stress it results in physical disease, such diseases are referred to as psychogenic diseases. In psychogenic diseases there is no invasion of  disease producing virus or micro organism, the mind changes the physiology in such a manner that it breaks down. On the other hand, diseases occur when the mind makes the body vulnerable to some diseases inflicting microbes or natural degenerative processes, this is called a somatogenic disease like cancer, or asthma, etc. There can be various diseases cause by stress. Allow us to take a look at some specific conditions. One of the common diseases caused by stress is Hypertension. Hypertension additionally commonly referred to as high blood pressure is excessive and damaging pressure of the blood against the arterial walls of the blood vessels. If the blood produces too much pressure on the arterial walls, they will rupture. And also the blood that was supposed to reach a special location can not reach its goal. If the rupture is during the brain it will cause cerebral hemorrhage.  Since blood pressure also as the serum cholesterol increase during stress there relation between hypertension and stress has long been suspected. Emotional stress is sometimes a major cause of hypertension. Hypertension can be controlled by medication, but generally medication have their aspect effects. These facet effects with poor habits like smoking and alcoholism can be harmful. To house hypertension, alone with medication and improvement in life style, various stress management interventions like learning a way to relax, perception interventions, etc. are essential.

Apoplexy, commonly known as stroke is the dearth of oxygen to the brain resulting from rupture or blockage of 1 of the arteries within the brain. Relying on the site of rupture, it could have its effects like paralysis, speech impairments, or maybe death might occur. Strokes are connected to hypertension, diet and stress. Another disease caused by stress is ulcers. Ulcers are cuts or fissures within the walls of the stomach, during chronic stress norepinphrine secretion causes capillaries in the stomach lining to constrict. This, in flip ends up in shutting down of the mucosal production that is the protective barrier for the liner within the stomach. When the barrier in the wall of the stomach is lost, the hydrochloric acid breaks down the tissue and sometimes even reaches the blood vessel causing a bleeding ulcer. But, it’s been found that there are many other causes of ulcer. Still, stress can exacerbate the conditions within the degenerative track to create ulcers additional seemingly to occur. It can also act as a catalyst in the assembly of hydrochloric acid within the stomach.

Another painful disease caused by stress is Rheumatoid arthritis. It is the swelling and inflammation in various joints within the body that if continued in its development can be very painful. A normal joint has a synovial membrane. This membrane produces fluids that lubricate the joints, in Rheumatoid arthritis, this membrane secretes excessive fluids. These fluids cause a swelling round the joint. If the event continues then these fluids penetrate into the bone as excessive fluids don’t have any where else to expand, therefore they penetrate the bone. Within the last stage it could damage the scar tissue with immobilizes the bone and will end in deformity. Generally rheumatoid arthritis is because of hereditary factors known as rheumatoid factors. When beneath chronic stress, it aggravates the event of this arthritis, particularly for folks who are susceptible to it. As seen higher than, if not paid attention to, stress can have ton of negative consequences. Cancer, backache, TMJ syndrome, asthma, hey fever, tension headaches, migraine headaches and coronary heart diseases to name a few.

Healthy stress is necessary to grant direction to each individual’s life. So don’t go where life takes you, but take life where you are heading.

Several kids suffer from varied styles of stress and in this article I provide recommendation on how parents can facilitate their child during these periods. Their stress will cause them to possess nightmares and to lose their self-confidence. I hope you discover this text fascinating and beneficial.

Youngsters who have nightmares

There are various reasons why children will begin to own nightmares. I have two youngsters, each of whom at varied stages of their lives get up crying and upset.

My young son started to have nightmares when watching the film Lord Of The Rings. He really enjoyed watching the film and wished to look at it on an everyday basis and would even re-inact the battles. The film itself is kind of long and he would normally be watching it by himself as his mother and I would be busy doing different things.

I considered why he may have started to possess these kind of dreams and believed it absolutely was due to the present film. I then made a point of watching it with him and kept on reassuring him {that the} folks haven’t actually died which they were solely acting. I even made a purpose of laughing at some of the additional ugly scenes and by creating comments like, as if that would ever happen. This and by conjointly only permitting him to observe the film once every week, helped to prevent this era of nightmares.

Youngsters will additionally develop nightmares once an illness. This will happen when having a period removed from school. They may start to worry that they will have fallen behind with their work, or that they will not be able to urge into their crowd of friends. They may conjointly concern that their best friend may have found a replacement best friend.

In this case I’d advise that when the child is better and before he returns to high school that you re-introduce them to the work that they were studying before the illness. You’ll be able to even ask the teacher to provide some of the work that the kid has missed, to assist them to catch up. I personally forever phone up the parents of my childrens friends and invite their child round for a meal, and to play, the evening before my kid is ready to come back to school.

Therefore when my kids are ill, I continually advice them not to fret about the work they will miss or concerning their friends as they grasp currently how I operate etc.

Kids who stress

My daughter at one purpose started to fret as a result of she was not in any of the top teams in the various subjects she was taking at school. She felt like she was a failure which we have a tendency to wouldn’t be happy with her. I suggested her that we knew she was giving it her all at college which so long as she continued to strive her best that we tend to would continuously be proud of her. After all not every child can be in these prime sets.

I reminded her that she was within the netball and athletics teams and tried to form her see the positive manner of thinking.

She now knows that even when she believes she is unable to perform a sure task that she ought to still have a go at it. When she makes a slip there will continually be somebody their to explain where she went wrong, that she will be able to then learn from for the next time.

As oldsters it is necessary that we tend to don’t criticise our children too often. This will result in them fearing failure and will cause them not even making an attempt to strive certain tasks.

Keep them motivated by making homework fun. Praise the child as often as attainable, once they complete one thing well, this builds up their self-esteem. Rather than shouting at the child after they are naughty, attempt to talk to them as if they were an adult.

In conclusion I invariably attempt to treat my very own children in an exceedingly truthful and relaxed manner. I wish them to know that I am pleased with them even if they do not achieve 100 p.c at school. If they need nightmares, I need to see why this would possibly be and to break whatever cycle is happening. I try to figure out what every child is worrying regarding and then strive to assist them to search out a solution.

This article takes a close look at sleep paralysis, its causes and the things that you can do to decrease it episodes. Read it through and I’m sure you will find it to be of great help.

One thing that is common about hallucinatory sleep paralysis is the vividness and reality of the things that you are seeing. In such cases you tend to panic especially when you realize you cannot move or even scream.

The funny thing is that the paralysis sets in to prevent you from doing just that. In trying to move you are attempting to respond to something that is you are seeing in a dream. Imagine how chaotic it would be if we reacted to everything that went on whilst we are having our dreams. So unfortunately the change from total sleep to a state of full consciousness is not always a smooth one.

If your sleep happens to be disrupted whilst you are having a dream the paralysis sets in. Having experienced a number of these episodes myself describing it as being uncomfortable is quite an understatement. That is one characteristic of hallucinatory sleep paralysis. It is just too vivid and real.

You might be wondering if there is perhaps a solution? Of course there are many causes to this and the solutions are just as many too. The underlying theory though is avoiding anything that will disrupt your normal sleep. Stimuli that tends to suddenly jostle the brain out of sleep. Amongst some of the things that you can avoid are excessive light. Sound and going to sleep without emptying your bladder.

You can find extensive and comprehensive remedies and solutions to this condition at any one of these:

does sleep paralysis really exist, what causes paralysis in sleep, is sleep paralysis rem sleep

Hallucinatory sleep paralysis is an acknowledged medical condition and therefore help is available for it. Do not be at the mercy of your dreams and continue having restless nights. You can do something about it.

Are you being troubled by episodes of sleep paralysis? If you asking yourself if there is perhaps a solution then the answer is yes. Just go through the following article and get to know the facts.

If you sometimes find that you are paralyzed during sleep and you cannot move then you are suffering from sleep paralysis. This condition will affect the average person more than once in their lifetime. For some however the occurrences are more frequent and can be terrifying. Sleep paralysis is triggered by many thingd but it can be prevented or avoided.

You can find detailed and comprehensive sleep paralysis techniques at any one of the following: Treatment For Sleep Paralysis, sleep paralyses, Sleep Paralysis Treatment episode

The primary cause of sleep paralysis is that of not being fully awake when the attacks happen. The attacks occur when dreaming you are suddenly woken from your sleep and your brain responds much faster than your body. You then experience the sensation that the dream you were having is real. In trying to respond to it you find that you cannot even move a single muscle.

The reason for this is that the transition from being asleep to full consciousness is meant to be gradual and not sudden. If something suddenly wakes you up whilst you are having a dream then paralysis is likely to set in. Being paralyzed during sleep is the body’s way of protecting you. The body is trying to prevent you from reacting to something that is not there.

Panic and fear usually set in when one tries to scream and the sound does not even come out. What disturbs me the most though is that these so called hallucinations seem so real at the time they occur. With so many repeated occurrences happening to me I couldn’t stand it any longer and decided to research.

I’ve come across many remedies, solutions and techniques for this condition. Some methods are as simple as avoidance techniques of known causes, to meditation and yoga. If you are experiencing episodes where by you become paralyzed during sleep solutions are always there. It is quite possible to sleep and rest peacefully at night.

Consider these three different scenarios.

Recession is making life difficult for a sales rep. The last three months sales were disastrous. He is due to meet a big and important new client and this could be an opportunity that could save his career. Success will decide whether he still has a job or not.

A man is madly and desperately in love with this attractive and popular woman. To him there is no future without her but there are other men trying to attract her attention. The table is set for two, the ring is in his hand and the red roses lie near by. She is due any minute and he will go down on his knees and and he does not know whether she will say yes or no.

Late at night a woman is walking home. The streets are poorly lit. The sound of footsteps ahead of her make her uneasy. She can see a group of people wearing hoodies coming towards her. Behind her she now hear more footsteps. Turning around, she sees some young people walking towards her.

In all three situations a person becomes very alert and focussed even though potential danger is only in one of these scenarios. This is the fight and fright reaction.

The fight or fright reaction protect us from life threatening dangers. In this reaction, the brain triggers the release of the hormones adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisone. The remarkable changes that occur are caused by these hormones.

The breathing becomes faster and deeper, the heart speeds up, the pupils dilate, the mouth becomes dry, the skin becomes cold and clammy and hairs on the back of the neck stand up.

You may have an urge to urinate, open your bowels or vomit. This is the brain trying to lighten the load to move faster during ‘flight’.

The fight or fright reaction prepares the body for action. You become alert and aware. All your senses are sharpened. Your hearing, sense of smell and your sight are all sharpened. Your body is primed and ready to go.

Your heart, beating faster pumps more blood to the brain and the muscles. By breathing faster and deeper, more oxygen is transported by the blood to the muscles and brain. In addition blood is temporarily diverted from other vital organs such as the gut, the kidneys and the immune system to enable more blood to the muscles.

The fight and fright reaction is primeval, developed in early humans to survive amongst dangerous reptiles and mammals. Unfortunately the brain cannot differentiate between real and percieved dangers or threats. The reaction is the same.

The fight or fright reaction is triggered in all three scenarios.

Panic attacks are severe episodes of the fight or fright reaction and, to the individual during an attack the threat or danger is very real. Rational thoughts go out the window and there is nothing to fight and no where to run to.

In stress, even though there is no threat to our lives, the fight or fright reaction is triggered and can harm the body. If persistent, it can cause diseases.

Knowing the effects of the fight or fright reaction on stress will help you make some sense about the symptoms of stress you experience with stress.

Up until a few years ago many of my friends and family used to call me “a stress head”. Why you may well be thinking? I basically worried and stressed about most aspects of life.

So what was the cause of all of this stress? Most of the problems were probably due to the fact that I had a stammer/stutter. This speech impediment had developed when I was at the age of four. As you may well imagine it is something that destroyed my overall confidence levels. Therapy for stuttering, at the time, was less than impressive which did not exactly help the situation.

My low self-esteem had a bad affect on many areas of my life, not just my speech. I would worry about what other people thought of me, I would stress about my height and my weight. I was so desperate, for whatever reason, for people to like me. I have to say that this now seems so bizarre however at the time I was being plagued by an army of demons that had taken over my brain.

The turning point came as I entered into my twenties; it was time for a change and a big one at that. I could no longer live in this way – there surely had to be more to life than this.

I was soon to realise that I was the only person who was going to sort my life out.

I started to work very hard at learning how to increase self-esteem for example. I watched the way in which great fluent talkers spoke and tried to compare it with the way that I spoke. I hoped this would result in me finding the solution to my stuttering problem.

Progress was far from quick however after around a year of battling against my demons I did manage to overcome the stutter and I did manage to discover ways to stop me stressing – it is all about attitude and the way we approach life – think positive and believe in yourself!

Now I am sure that we would all admit to becoming a little stressed from time to time. It is knowing what to do about it which is the problem for most of us. I am the type of person who used to stress about the smallest of things, this stress affected my sleep, my skin and my work life. I now, after studying the subject of stress for the past two years, have come up with ways to help me to cope with and to reduce the amount that I stress. I am going to write about these ways in this article.

I have had a good chat with myself during recent times, having to admit various weaknesses if you like; one of which was my overall attitude to life. I basically used to think in a very negative way, I did not seem to really enjoy life and I also felt that I was rather an unlucky person. In reality I was actually fine but as you may be able to tell I would feel sorry for myself.

I am now able to think in a far more positive light and this has helped me no end.

Meditation has also helped me to think in a more upbeat manner. The main area where I find meditation helps is to enable my mind to think in a much clearer manner.

Exercise is my next tip to help other people to reduce the amount in which they worry or stress. I have a pet dog now and taking it for around six walks a day helps to to keep fit and to also get out of the house when things start to get a bit stressed.

All of these things have helped me in many ways including to overcome stammering; this was a problem that I had to endure for eighteen years of my life. At the time, before the internet was born, it was quite difficult to receive credible stammering advice, which just added to the overall frustration.

I am now able to live a happy, confident, fluent life and am working as a well known web promotion specialist as well as being able to offer people cheap calls.
